Reiki: Recommended Books

For those of you who got their Reiki attunements, here are some books I recommend:

Start by systematically going down the list.

The Tao of Reiki: A Transpersonal Pathway to an Ancient Healing Art - Including Original Manuscripts of Reiki's Founding Father
The true story of Reiki. No silly stuff. I promise. It's the book most western practitioners don't want you to read. You'll have to borrow this from the Burnaby Public Library.

Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art (Paperback)
The only reference book you'll need on Reiki. Beautifully written and lots of useful information in it (some unique stuff you won't find anywhere else). I have it so I can lend it to you.

Reiki Shamanism: A Guide to Out-of-Body Healing
A very interesting twist on Reiki, from a shamanic point of view. Good to read, at least excerpts from it. I have it, so you may borrow it.

The Reiki Sourcebook, Revised and Expanded
A collection of Reiki techniques. Becomes more handy if you're at least level II. I have this as well so you may borrow it. I didn't bother looking through it much. It's a very thick tome. Good reviews though.

The Japanese Art of Reiki: A Practical Guide to Self-Healing
I believe this is the unique book my Reiki master showed me that contains qi gong-like exercises.
