You may wonder how aboriginals all over the world have been using plants for medicinal purposes. After all, how do you figure out what they’re good for if you don’t do any “scientific studies” on them? David Ike, a popular conspiracy theorist, had been going on and on about how native peoples of every culture have been “talking” to plants to find out their medicinal properties. Poor Mr. Ike has been labeled a crazy person!
Here is an excerpt from his book, “The David Ike Guide to the Global Conspiracy (And How To End It)”:
“Credo’s wife, Virgiia, talks every day to the plants that she grows for traditional medicines she uses to treat patients for AIDS and other problems. She tells the plants about the patient and asks them to help. She takes only as much of the plant as the patient needs and the plants don’t die as a result. They are involved in the process of healing through this telepathic communication, and respected for what they are—consciousness.”
No more scorn for you, Mr. Ike! Some researchers have been shedding light on the matter! It turns out, plants talk after all—you just have to listen! Plants react to signals coming from other plants, and animals! Why not from people? When hooked up to a lie detector, you can actually listen to the frequencies they give off. Apparently plants don’t like it when they sense shrimp falling into hot, boiling water (just one of the experiments that had been done on them). I think I’d cringe too!
Perhaps we can develop some technology that lets us hear trees screaming when we cut them and turn them into paper. At least that would make a difference.
